First impressions count, even when it comes to something as simple as a resume.
You need to capture attention. Stand out from the pack (and no, that doesn’t mean using fluro highlighters!).
First, other than your name, address and contact details, start with your education, then your career experience, and skills – list everything in reverse order from earliest to most recent.
Keep it brief, punchy and to the point. Concentrate on achievements rather than responsibilities. Expand on areas that you think are really relevant to the role you’re going for.
Finally – spell check everything. Twice! A simple spelling or grammar mistake can create a big negative impression.
